Here is a step by step guide on how to get your own router working on Sky Fibre Pro.
Step 1) Log in to your sky account on the sky website.
Step 2) In the MySky section, find the Broadband Pro section (or click that link, you lazy sausage).
Step 3) Set your account to have a static IP address - see below.
Step 4) Wait about 1 to 2 hours to be safe.
Step 5) Plug in your vdsl(2/2+) compatible router
Step 6) Enjoy your new router as that's pretty much all you need to do.
Step 7) Remember to set your own DNS to resolve stuff for you, sky's are fuckawful.
There might be some little bits here and there, but it should just sync, and then connect as long as your account is set to recieve a static IP - if you really want to know how to go through the hassle of hoping your router can authenticate using DHCP which isn't really used by many ISPs, then I'd recommended giving it a google, some drayteks can support it, the 2860/2760s can. Plus you need to get capture the dhcp packet using wireshark and put the details into the auth fields blah blah blah, it's not fun. It works though. If you want a guide on that, let me know.
